I signed a lease for a property managed by Lighthouse Realty and took possession on June 15, 2026. I was told the new stove was to be delivered on Saturday. Once I signed the lease I was told the stove didn’t work but the oven did. When I took possession there was no stove. Before moving any belongings into the home, I spent time cleaning and inspecting the property and discovered numerous issues that I documented with photographs and video. Among the concerns I observed were damaged cabinetry repaired with duct tape, gaps around the entry door, dirty window tracks and screens, damaged fixtures, debris in utility areas, and other maintenance and cleanliness issues. I reported these concerns immediately and provided photographs and video documentation. I did not move into the property or place any personal belongings inside. After reporting the issues, I requested clarification and attempted to resolve the matter. The move-in inspection process was not provided to me until after I had already submitted my own documentation of the property’s condition. Ultimately, the lease was terminated, the keys were returned, and my security deposit was refunded. However, my prorated rent was not refunded. I requested an explanation and Jennifer disagreed with the basis for retaining those funds.” I remain disappointed by the overall experience, the condition of the property at move-in, and the difficulty in resolving concerns after they were reported. Prospective tenants should thoroughly inspect any property and document its condition before moving in.
